Tax and fiscal proposals coming from the republibaggerservative presidential nomination clown car are not merely the wrong thing to do, they are dangerously reckless. As pointed out in the article, we have had sustained economic growth and deficit reduction since the expiration of the Bush tax cuts for the rich, contrary to the "sky-is-falling" fearmongering of republibaggerservatives. After selling them as a needed tonic for economic growth, the Bush tax cuts and lax regulation turned budget surpluses into deficits, helped to bring worldwide capital markets to the brink of economic armageddon and ushered the nation into the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression. Clinton's tax increases on the rich helped to usher in sustained economic growth and resulted in a federal budget surplus. No one with a requisite compliment of properly firing brain synapses can look at the warmed over, re-treaded, trickle-down bull$hit proselytized by Rubio and other republican candidates as anything but a recipe for new economic and fiscal calamity. Their track record has been nothing short of abysmal and they offer absolutely nothing different than that which nearly destroyed us before.
