When Morgan Freeman called Black History Month "ridiculous", he became a hero to a certain segment of viners who every year express resentment at the annual recognition of the journey of black people in America.
I wonder what those same people think of him now that he has openly articulated what anyone not living under a rock or not completely deluded already knows - that there is an all too visible minority of racists in the tea party "movement".
To me, Mr. Freeman is a brilliant actor who has fallen way short in his personal life. His opinion is no more significant than anyone elses. But I remember with bemusement the pedestal some put him on when he agreed with them and wonder if they now feel the same way.
